A regular spring characterised by absence of winds and temperature swings that favoured budding and flowering. An excellent summer with sunny days and never excessive temperatures that marked the end of the harvest.
FERMENTATION
Fermentation took place in open Slavonian oak vats of between 20 and 54 hectolitres with maceration lasting about 8-9 days.
AGEING
75% of the ageing took place in 225-litre Slavonian oak barrels and 25% in new French Tronçais barrels. The Yugoslavian wood was 30% new and 70% first or second passage.
