SOIL STYLE
The soils on which the vineyards stand has varied and complex terrain features with a strong presence of limestone, feature areas rich in marl and pebbles as well as being partly clayey. The production facilities are located at an average altitude of between 80 and 400 metres above sea level, with a west/south-west exposure.
WEATHER TRENDS
Very good quality but a rather cool year. Regular autumn and winter with early arrival of spring. The summer characterised by cooler temperatures and occasional rainfall. The harvest took place regularly and the grapes were able to spend more time on the vine. Excellent freshness and great aromaticity of the wines of this vintage.
FERMENTATION
13-day maceration with intense pumping over. 
Devatting and immediate start of malolactic fermentation. 75 hectoliter stainless steel vats were used.
AGEING
20 months in 68-70% French and 30-32% Yugoslavian barrels. The barrels were both woods made from approximately 50% new and 50% first and second passage.
